The ability to read for understanding and to write with clarity and skill depends on successful acquisition of the foundation skills - vocabulary knowledge and phonological awareness.This DVD provides interactive activities to develop these foundation skills, with a focus on vowel sounds.

This DVD was a Noeline Anderson of Pixelhouse and Joy Allcock of Word Detective collaboration.

The layout and design of the activities are in the contemporary 'steampunk' style.

We make lessons for interactive whiteboards for whole class teaching or group work. These lessons are made to be used across platform on any interactive whiteboard; mimio, smartboard, promethean, etc... there are many brands available. These lessons can also be used on a screen via computer and a projector. Students can also use this material on individual computers or handheld devices.
